Hats Veterans Wear
This photo series is for and about American independence, brought to us by real people who did battle, dodged bullets, took bullets and came home with less than they left with, and brought home more than they wanted to. This series documents the myriad of hats, ball caps, beards, t-shirts, jackets, bandanas, Santa & elf hats veterans wear as seen around Dallas and north Texas and the U.S.A. by documentary photographer, Jackie D. Rockwell.
Hats Veterans Wear 2021
FEB 2021: Thank you to my baby brother for twenty years of service. He celebrated his birthday and retirement the same night. I remember when he was a kid.. he said he wanted to work for Kroger. (this always cracks me up) Then he changed his mind & said he’d be a Marine and a cop. Kroger lost out on a great bagger. I’m so happy and proud of him. Semper Fi. He’s worn USMC hat. Texas State Trooper hat. Dallas PD Constable hat, USArmy hat. Now he gets to wear a new hat.. #retired. Thank you for your service.
1:1 Interview forthcoming..
